Frequently Asked Questions—Cairns

If you have questions about photo restorations, then you have come to the right place! Here you will find some of our most common questions along with their answers. If you need more information, feel free to give us a call and we’ll be happy to answer your questions and get you started with your own photo restoration or preservation project.

  • Q: How are the restored photos delivered?

A: We can provide your new, restored photographs in a variety of formats. We can scan them to a disc, save as a .jpg file and email them to you, or we can print them and frame them (if desired) if you prefer to have a hardcopy. We will discuss your wishes when you drop off your photos.

  • Q: Can you restore my photos if I can’t drop them off?

A: Yes. You can either email your photos as a .jpg file, or you can mail them to us as a hardcopy or scanned onto a disc. Make sure you insure your photos before shipping! Follow all procedures outlined on our send a photo page.

  • Q: How long does it take to restore a photo?

A: This is truly an individual process. Every job will take a different amount of time depending upon the damage, the age of the photos and how many photos you have. When you deliver your photos to us we will provide a thorough quote on the job.

  • Q: How many photos can you do at once?

A: We can complete as many photos as you need—even an entire album. Bring or ship the album to us and we will go over the damage and alterations to determine a quote and timeline for the completion of your job.

  • Q: How much will it cost to have a photo preserved?

A: This will depend on the methods used and the size of your photo. We have a range of preservation methods that can be used, and we have something that will accommodate virtually any budget.
